When I think ‘fresh, handmade cosmetics’ a vivid smurf blue face mask is not the first thing that came to mind. But then again Lush have always gone for colourful and loud products, and Don’t Look At Me is no exception. Like all the fresh face masks it has a short shelf life. Two to four weeks, depending on how fresh it is, and somehow it’s managed to shoot itself up to the top of my favourite skin care products.
The citrus-y smell of this face mask is lovely. Lemons, neroli and grapefruit, and it doubles up as a face mask and a face scrub. Normally I’m not a fan of face scrubs. Maybe because when I was a teenager I tended to be a bit of an animal with my skin, and scrubbed it within an inch of it’s life. But this mask I like. Actually, I take that back, this face mask is amazing!
The texture is creamy and gritty, but quite easy to apply. What I love so much about this facemask is that it starts to act the minute you put it on your skin. The smell is divine and you can feel your skin soaking up the moisture. Better yet, once you start to scrub it away your skin feel incredible. Not a since pice of dry skin to be felt, completely moisturised and refreshed.
Contains: Glycerine, Kaolin, Water, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, Silken Tofu, Rice Syrup, Grounded White Rice, Rice Milk, Murumuru Butter, Bentone Gel, Grapefruit Oil, Neroli Oil, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Farnesol, Perfume, Colour 42090
As far as cons go, if you have sensitive skin I would advise being careful with scrubs. Unlike scrubs which have ground apricot kernels in it, this scrub is much softer. But still, be careful if you have sensitive skin.
Oh, and if you didn’t know already, keep any of the Lush pots you have after you’ve used them up. Lush have a program where if you return five of the pots you get a free face mask of your choice. If you go through Lush products as fast as I do, those pots can start to add up quite fast!
