Smokey Eye: Jewled Nights

And another smokey eye to add to my series. I’ve been wanting to do a dark look with purple for a while now and here it is. Oh and I got to make another title background for this video, what do you think of it?

Green Eyes:The purple on the waterline can be quite a contrasting colour (so it’ll make the eye colour really pop) if you want you can swap it for a dark green eyeliner or a black one.

Grey Eyes: For grey eyes I can’t really think of an eyeliner that wouldn’t go with it. The danger with grey eyes (especially very light grey eyes) is that sometimes the makeup can overpower the eyes, in general avoid cold colours as eyeliner.

If you want to use a different colour I’d recommend gold or copper.

Blue Eyes: Purple looks lovely with this eye colour but you can also use gold which looks so, so stunning with blue eyes.

Hazle Eyes: For hazel eyes I wouldn’t lean towards purple too much, anything remotely close to the red family can make hazel eyes look a bit blood shot, I’d recommend black eyeliner and blue.

Enjoy the tutorial :)

Peacock Makeup

I’ve been asked to do a Peacock makeup look for a while now and so to break up my Dragon Slayer series I thought I upload this look to brighten things up a bit.

It’s very similar to my New Years Makeup look but while that was a relatively tame look this one is a bit of a colour explosion.

My eye colour?

Because this look is such a mash up of colours it really suits any eye colour, but if you want to personalize it to your eye colour all you have to do is change what colour eyeliner you use either to match it or use a contrasting colour to make your eyes pop.

Blue eyes: Blue, gold or a coppery red.

Grey eyes: Silver, gold (any colour really will compliment grey eyes except for redish tones)

Green Eyes: Green, blue, coppery red, gold or even a metalic dark purple if you can find one.

Hayzle Eyes: Avoid reds but you can use gold, green, blue and dark green.

And now for the tutorial:

I’m back! :D New video and plans…

*Happy dance* I’m back!

I was hoping to do a much more dramatic video for my first upload in over two months but it’s taking me a lot more time than I planned to make all the props I need for that tutorial so I had to upload a far less spectacular tutorial.

But don’t worry, that tutorial will still be uploaded!

Seeing as everyone liked it so much in my previous blog posts when I showed how the makeup would look with different eye colours I’ll still be doing that.

And the lovely thing about this look is that if the mint green dosn’t work with your eye colour you can just swap it with a colour that does!

So what are my plans for videos now?

Well…I will be uploading regularly now, on my KlairedelysArt channel it will be once a week on a Friday and then pretty much randomly on my Klairedelysdotcom channel but generally for that channel I’d like to keep it to the beginning of the week.

Yes I have a second channel! What’s it for? Mainly for reviews (I’m not a fan of mixing tutorials with reviews in my channel as they tend to appeal to different people), How-I-Made/Painted-That videos, tutorials which are not makeup related such as DIY beauty and just random stuff.

Keep an eye out on that channel cause you know that present I’ve mentioned a few times that I was making for ALL of you? Well the video for that will be uploaded on that channel.

As I’m sure I’m going to get flooded with questions about THOSE wing earrings these are the gorgeous pair of earrings I bought from the lovely Aranwen. You can buy them here.

Oh and Aranwen was kind enough to give me a code to get a 10% discount for you guys, so if you any of you are planning on buying one of her pieces don’t forget to use the code KLAIRE10 at the checkout.

And I hope you like the video :D

Lace Eyes

I have been planing this one for so long so I’m over the moon that I’ve finally uploaded it! :D

I got the idea for this one around the end of August (last year) so I’m pretty happy to finally have it off the paper and into a tutorial :)

As you can see I’ve made some slight changes to the original design I had. I found that if I added the lace on the bottom lid all the way into the inner corner from a distance it looked too much like a dark circle or just a black eye.

(For those of you wondering the design on the right was the design idea I originally had for the valentines day look I uploaded a few weeks ago)

There isn’t really a tone of logic in showing this look in different eye colours seeing as it will suit any eye colour but seeing as I’ll probably still get people asking me to do it I will.

There are a few ways you can make this look less plain if simple rhinestones and liner isn’t glam enough for you.

How about using different kinds of rhinestones? Different colours or even studded rhinestones if you want a “lace and studs” look.

There’s no reason why you have to use black eyeliner.

If your skin is very dark an absolutely stunning alternative to using black eyeliner is any kind of metallic eye liner, especially gold!

And my final suggestion would be why not use some kind of colour on the water line? I know I partly lined the out corner of the waterline but there is no reason why the rest cant be filled.

Green, blue, turquoise eyeliner? Gold? The options are endless :)

Enjoy the tutorial!

Arabian Dusk

I had a lot of fun with this look mainly because I got to collaborate with one of my favorite You Tube Gurus, Asahi Sasak (channel name SasakiAsahi), she is hands down one of the most talented makeup artist on You Tube!

Some of you might remember her by her old channel which was/is called ManWomanFilm, if you haven’t checked her out please do, I’m sure you’ll love her!

So now for the eye changes…

Grey Eyes

For Grey eyes I’d be tempted to go for more of the redish brown to contrast with the cool tones of the grey.

Green Eyes

Green eyes? Personally I wouldn’t change a thing, I think this looks great with green eyes.

Hazel Eyes

Again, I can’t really recommend any changes for Hazel eyes, I love it just how it is :)

Blue Eyes

The only thing I would really change for blue eyes is the waterline eyeliner, blue and blue just looks a bit boring, one thing you could do is use the purple on the waterline and the blue in the inner corner or, if you’re feeling really daring, go for an orange colour on the waterline.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial :)
