Dragon Queen

Dragon Queen

Something a little spontaneous this week. Really feeling fantasy inspired lately and trying not to get to nervous/excited about a HUGE project I’ll be able to share with you in the coming weeks, so I needed something a little random to get everything out of my system.

Dragons of course gave me an excuse to stick rhinestones all over my face

The horns are actually from my Wrath tutorial I did ages ago, so if you want I have the tutorial here. They’re really simple to make and really hard wearing, I kept whacking them into the door frame each time I walked out the room so good thing they were strong or they’d have looked terrible by the time I took the photos!

Don't Look

Normally if I’d planned this one I would have made the scales like I made my Alien scales, but since it was an impromptu look I decided to wing it with the eyelash glue. If you want you could go strait ahead and use just plain latex, but if you do that please take care when you’re removing it and don’t be too rough with your skin.

The headdress was just a 5 meter chain and a few hair gems

And for the glowing hand look, that was just me holding a torch in my hand and it also happens to be how I got that blue glow for my top photo behind it. It was quite interestng trying to hold the torch under my arm, post and take the photo at the same time!

Feed the Flames

As for my dragon hand it was pretty much exactly the same technique I used for under the eyes. A black eyeshadow all over the skin, drawing the outline of scales with it before taking latex (for my hand I used latex) waited for it to dry. Painted it and then added rhinestones. Easy!

So…there you have it! My dragon queen look! I hope you like it

The look is absolutely inspiring! I wonder if you’ll make a DIY for the headdress, though; it looks absolutely beautiful!

An amazing tutorial as always. Been watching your tutorials every week for ages and I still have yet to attempt one! I suppose it’s because they’re unwearable but it’s that which makes them so beautiful.

P.S. I’d love it if you checked out my blog :)
