A few days ago I was flicking through an old Elle magazine of my sisters and I saw this advert with butterflies in it.
I seemed like a bit of a shame to chuck it so I thought I would do a blog post showing you how to personalise your mobile.
First thing you want to do is cut out the pictures you want on your mobile. It’s easier to cut it out roughly first and then neatly cut it out.
Take a few minutes to play around with where you want to position it before you decide, the last thing you want to do is stick it down and then change your mind.
With any clear nail varnish cover the cut out with nail varnish (going over the edges) and one by one stick down the cut outs.
Something you can do which looks quite nice is to overlay the cut outs, just make sure you neatly cut off the parts you don’t want to be covering the underlying cut out.
The best way to do this is to half stick it down and then with a craft knife, carefully, cut it off.
Next take the clear nail varnish again and line around the cut outs and stick rhinestones on to this using a wet cotton bud to pick them up.
Once you’ve done this you can just leave the rhinestones outlining the cut-outs or you can fill in all the empty space.
And you’re done! :D
You can leave it simple like the one above or you can really bling it out and cover the whole back like the one bellow.
- It’s better to do stuff like this on a cover rather than on the actual phone.
- DON’T try and use nail varnish remover on the phone (if you do it on the phone). I destroyed my first mobile by accidentally spilling nail varnish on it so don’t do it!
Hope some of you enjoyed this :) <3
